Author Mail Compass is an independent editorial comparison project for authors. This edition compares seven plans across three email services. It uses published provider information and does not claim personal experience, independent delivery testing or guaranteed results.
The finder checks the selected audience size, email volume, automation count and longest workflow, then the delivery choice. Within each service, it shows the lowest priced matching plan among the tiers we checked. Service order stays fixed. We do not compare every provider or every intermediate subscriber tier.
What the price means
Quotes use USD monthly billing before applicable taxes. They exclude temporary promotions, domains, inbox subscriptions and external file hosting. BookFunnel’s monthly author-plan fee is added only when you select that option. Annual prices in the BookFunnel guide are shown separately.
If your actual audience is between our sampled sizes, choose the next size up. This is a planning comparison, not a personalized checkout quote. Your existing or legacy contract may differ, and moving services has a cost in time.
Missing information stays visible.
The finder withholds a verified total when an essential fact is missing, conflicted or more than 30 days past its check date. This is our review rule, not a promise that providers keep their terms unchanged for 30 days. Article dates show their last editorial check; consult the linked source before purchasing.
Current gaps: Kit’s specific BookFunnel connection and EmailOctopus Pro’s exact automation-count ceiling need further confirmation. The finder does not treat either as a proven fit where the missing condition matters.

Sources and corrections
These links identify the documents behind the checked facts. Interactive pricing was checked in a browser with monthly billing selected. Automated page retrieval alone did not expose all prices.
Editorial update record
31 October 2026: first comparison dataset. Official browser checks resolved MailerLite paid pricing and BookFunnel plan details that were missing from the initial research. An affected claim is withheld when a source check fails; it is not silently filled from an old article.
